The Missouri Tiger women’s basketball team saved their best performance of the season to date for perhaps their toughest test, riding a career-high 28 point, 13 rebound performance by junior guard Amber Smith to a 68-51 win at West Virginia in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Defensively, Missouri held the Mountaineers to a season-low point total of 51, keeping WVU to 28 percent accuracy from the field.
Redshirt freshman Haley Troup had career highs with 14 points and six rebounds, while junior guard Jordan Chavis added 11 points and five boards.
The Tiger women return home on Thursday night, hosting the UMKC Kangaroos in a 7 o’clock tip from Mizzou Arena. The game will be available via SEC Network Plus.
