Highly touted guard Isiaih Mosley, a University of Missouri transfer from Missouri State University, has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2023 Jerry West Award, given annually to the top shooting guard in the country.
After three seasons downstate with the Missouri State Bears, Mobley, a Columbia native and graduate of Rock Bridge High School, transferred home to Mizzou to ignite the rebuilding process with head coach Dennis Gates. Last season, Mobley averaged 20.4 points per game for MSU, the 15th-best in the country. He won a 2019 Class 5 MSHSAA championship with Rock Bridge in March 2019.
The Tigers will have an exhibition game on Thursday night, November 3rd against Washington University at 7 o’clock inside Mizzou Arena. The regular season opener will follow on Monday,m November 7th, also in Columbia against Southern Indiana.
