The University of Missouri football hit the junior college ranks to gain a commitment, with defensive lineman Jelani Davis of Dodge City Community College announcing to MU via Twitter. He visited the campus in Columbia three times, and will join Eli Drinkwitz’s program as a “preferred walk-on”.
Davis is a product of St. Louis, Missouri, and visited Mizzou with five-star recruit Samuel M’Pemba, a recruiting target of the Tigers, ranked 7th nationally (Rivals) in this year’s junior class. He and Davis are both out of the Ladue Horton Watkins program.
Meanwhile, Missouri football had visits from two Lee’s Summit North football players, with four-star defensive end Williams Nwaneri (#3 in Missouri in the sophomore class) and four-star junior offensive lineman Cayden Green (#29 nationally in junior class) both traveling to the campus. Missouri is in Green’s list of five final schools for a future commitment.
