For the fourth consecutive year, the regular season-ending border rivalry game between the Missouri Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks will be played on the day after Thanksgiving on CBS.
The 2017 game, to be played on Friday, November 24th, will be the ninth all-time meeting between the schools, with MU holding a 5-3 edge. The teams have met twice in bowl games, with Arkansas winning the 2003 Independence Bowl by a score of 27-14, while Mizzou pounded “The Hogs” in the 2008 Cotton Bowl, 38-7.
Since entering the SEC in 2012, Missouri is 2-1 against Arkansas, including a come-from-behind 28-24 victory last year in Columbia. The Missouri/Arkansas match-up has officially been coined as the “Battle Line Rivalry, presented by Shelter Insurance”.
In addition to the Missouri at Arkansas matchup, CBS announced it’s SEC package will include TCU at Arkansas on September 9th, Florida at Tennessee on September 16th, and Florida vs. Georgia on October 28th.
In November, CBS will feature three straight Saturday SEC doubleheaders. Those matchups, along with many others, will fall under the “SEC Games of the Week” label and will be announced six to 12 days prior to their broadcast date.
The SEC on CBS schedule will include 17 games, including the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta on December 2nd, the Army-Navy game on December 9th, and the Hyundai Sun Bowl on December 29th.
