Former Oklahoma offensive lineman and four-star recruit Cayden Green has announced his commitment to Mizzou, as revealed to On3 on Tuesday.

Green’s decision is significant for Mizzou, addressing both a positional need and bringing in a player of substantial impact. As the portal’s top-ranked tackle and the fourth-ranked recruit overall, Green will provide depth to the offensive line, especially with the departure of veteran left tackle Javon Foster due to eligibility constraints.

Standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 316 pounds, Green visited Missouri on Sunday, returning to Columbia, where he had made several trips during high school, including an official visit before committing to the Sooners in July 2022.

The highly touted lineman will be reuniting with former high school teammate Armand Membou, who actively recruited Green on social media. Additionally, Williams Nwaneri, a five-star commit for the 2024 class at MU, played alongside Green in high school.

Green becomes the third addition to Missouri’s transfer class, which, despite its small size, boasts impressive talent. Notably, the Tigers have secured commitments from two players ranked first in their respective positions, the first being former Clemson defensive back Toriano Pride Jr. Another notable addition is ex-Georgia State running back Marcus Carroll.

Born in Oklahoma but raised in Lee’s Summit, Green made a significant impact as a true freshman this season, participating in 11 games and starting five at left guard. With the departures of Foster and left guard Xavier Delgado, Green now has the opportunity to continue at guard or return to his familiar tackle position.

Missouri continued its successful recruiting week with two four-star prospects announcing their commitment to the Tigers on Tuesday.

In the morning, four-star wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield declared his commitment to Mizzou at Pine Bluff High School in Arkansas. Crutchfield, a 6-foot-2 receiver, chose the Tigers over in-state Arkansas, Auburn, and LSU. He had previously been committed to Arkansas until reopening his recruitment on Nov. 4. Crutchfield, ranked as the second-highest recruit in Missouri’s class by 247Sports, praised Tigers’ wide receivers coach Jacob Peeler’s track record in developing players. He is listed as the No. 12 wide receiver nationally and the No. 51 overall recruit in the nation by the same source. Crutchfield, who also participates in basketball and track, possesses a diverse skill set, showcasing route-running finesse, physical contested catches, speed, and a willingness to excel in traffic. The 2024 class also includes receivers James Madison II and Jude James.

Later in the day, four-star cornerback Jaren Sensabaugh verbally committed to Mizzou, becoming the 20th member of the Tigers’ 2024 recruiting class. A former Vanderbilt commit from Nashville, Tennessee, Sensabaugh is the third defensive back in the class, joining four-star cornerback Cameron Keys and three-star athlete Jackson Hancock. Sensabaugh, the seventh-ranked prep prospect in Tennessee and the 26th-rated cornerback nationally according to 247Sports, decommitted from Vanderbilt on Nov. 12. With official visits to Tennessee and Missouri, he ultimately chose the Tigers. This commitment bolsters Missouri’s efforts to enhance depth in the defensive backfield, potentially offsetting the departure of starters Kris Abrams-Draine, Ennis Rakestraw Jr., and Jaylon Carlies to the NFL Draft. Sensabaugh’s addition, along with former Clemson cornerback Toriano Pride from the transfer portal, adds to Missouri’s promising offseason recruiting. The Tigers are currently ranked 23rd in Rivals’ team recruiting rankings and ninth in the SEC. The team may continue its recruiting success, with interest in names like four-star cornerback Trajan Greco and four-star running back J’Marion Burnette.
