De Smet Jesuit (St. Louis, MO) High School junior linebacker Jason King has announced a verbal commitment to the University of Missouri, choosing the Tigers over long recruiting pushes from Kansas and Kansas State, and offers from SEC programs Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
King, the top-ranked linebacker in the Class of 2025 in the state of Missouri (according to the On3 rating system), had 90 tackles, 15 for loss, and four sacks in a 10-2 season for De Smet in 2023, guiding his squad into the Class 6 semifinal round.
The three-star is now Mizzou’s sixth commitment in the class, joining quarterback Matt Zollers, offensive tackle Jack Lange, defensive linemen Jason Dowell and Joshua Lewis and linebacker Dante McClellan. Missouri’s class is now ranked 21st in the country according to On3.
