The Missouri Tigers will return to the Hall of Fame Classic at the T-Mobile Center in downtown Kansas City, as multiple sources are reporting that the Tigers will be playing the Creighton Blue Jays on November 20, 2023. The tournament, played annually to celebrate that year’s Hall of Fame inductees, will include four teams. The other two squads in addition to MU and CU, have yet to be announced.
This year’s Hall of Fame Classic matchups are already set, with Wichita State, Grand Canyon, San Francisco, and Northern Iowa converging on Kansas City.
Missouri will be playing Creighton for the first time since 2004, with Mizzou leading the all-time series 3-2. In November 2004, Creighton hammered Missouri in the semifinals of the Hall of Fame Classic, winning 78-54. Mizzou has two championships in the Hall of Fame, claiming the title in the first edition of the event in 2001, and repeating as champions 10 years later (2011).
