Isaiah Miller, a three-star running back from Baldwin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, has given a verbal commitment to the University of Missouri, announcing his decision with a pair of social media posts on Monday.

On Monday morning, Miller tweeted, MIZZOU RUNNING BACK COMMIT, and later confirmed the information by stating, “I have chosen to decommit from the Oregon state & flip my commitment to the university of Missouri.”

Miller is the 19th known commitment for Coach Barry Odom and the Tigers in the Class of 2017.  He chose Mizzou over offers from Rutgers, Syracuse, and Washington State.

On Friday, Coach Odom picked up a verbal commitment from Larry Rountree III, a running back from Millbrook High School in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Rountree, a three-star prospect, announced via the Millbrook twitter account, “@MHSCatsFootball runninh back @LRountreeIII will be taking his talents to the SEC on Saturday’s…#ShowMe17 @MizzouShowMe17”.

Rountree, as a senior, scored 21 touchdowns in 11 games, racking up 1.147 yards on the ground.  He returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.

The Tigers recent recruiting successes in Texas continue with the addition of Kemp High School wide receiver Elijah Gardiner, who took an official visit to the MU campus over the weekend.  Rivals.com ranks Gardiner as a three-star prospect.  He chose Mizzou over offers from Houston and Texas Southern, according to Rivals.com.

With offensive line depth becoming a concern, Mizzou mined the junior college ranks to win the commitment of 345 pound Yasir Durant, a Philadelphia native who played last season at Arizona Western Community College.  Durant signed with San Diego State coming out of high school, but failed to qualify academically, forcing the JUCO route.  Mizzou was able to flip Durant from the Aztecs in recent days and weeks.
