The Missouri Tigers, coming into Saturday’s blowout victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers, received a piece of good news on the recruiting trail, with highly-ranked wide receiver Javian Hester, a four-star prospect from Tulsa, Oklahoma, announced his pledge to the Tigers. Ranked the 40th best receiver in the U.S. and #3 overall prospect in Oklahoma by 247Sports.com, Hester chose MU over Texas, Baylor, Nebraska, Michigan, and others.
Earlier in the week, Mizzou received a commitment from Columbia (MO) Rock Bridge High School offensive lineman Jalen Logan-Redding. Missouri now had 14 commitments for the Class of 2020, ranked #39 nationally by 247Sports.com and #36 by Rivals.
On the field against West Virginia, Missouri lost freshman cornerback Chris Mills to a knee injury, with Coach Barry Odom saying the Converse, Texas native will be “out indefinitely”. Seeing time on the Tigers’ special teams unit through two games this season, Mills came to Missouri as a three-star recruit, choosing the program over BYU, Arizona, Michigan State, and Virginia.
