The Milan Lady Wildcats are battling youth and inexperience, making their way through a tough stretch of games in the Grand River Conference that included a loss to Maysville earlier in the week. However, on Thursday night, the Lady ‘Cats picked up a potential break-through victory, 11-10 over South Harrison at Legion Field.
Next week, you can listen to Milan softball, as the Lady Wildcats travel to Princeton on Monday night to battle the Tigers on KTTN FM 92.3 (5:30 PM), with a trip to Trenton to play the two-time defending GRC champion Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday on Hot Country Z 101.7 (5:30 PM).
Prior to their Thursday game with South Harrison, KTTN Sports Director Tom Johnson caught up with Milan softball Nathan Dodson for the weekly interview, aired at 5:35 on Thursday evening in edited form. Here is the interview, in its entirety, that also can be heard at halftime of tonight’s football game with the Princeton Tigers on 92.3 FM:
As the Lady ‘Cats look to improve, their inspiration could come across the Milan High School landscape. Just two years ago, the Wildcat football team was battling youth in attempts to move up the standings in the GRC. Now, it appears the Wildcats have arrived as a force in the conference. Milan enters this week’s game with Princeton as the GRC’s only undefeated team, with their 3-0 mark including a 41-14 road win last Friday night at Maysville.
Princeton, riding its own two-game winning streak, will be at The PIT on Friday night, for a game to be heard on KTTN FM 92.3. Here, in its entirety, is the interview with Tom and Coach John Dabney, originally aired on Thursday night at 5:45, with the interview to be heard, in full, prior to tonight’s 7 o’clock kickoff:
