Coaches shows are off and running for the 2017-2018 school year! With a young group of girls ready to take the reins from an exemplary group of now-graduated seniors, softball season is underway at North Mercer, where the Lady Cardinals are looking to learn quick and improve swiftly to battle the likes of pre-season favorite North Harrison for the HDC crown.
KTTN Sports Director caught up with Lady Cardinal Head Coach Melissa Hill on Monday, with the interview originally airing at 5:50 that evening on KTTN FM 92.3:
The Lady Cardinals open the season on Saturday in Cainsville, playing Pattonsburg in the East Harrison Tournament semifinal round at 11:45. East Harrison plays Winston at 10 o’clock, with winners and losers moving into either the third place or championship games later that afternoon. Mercer plays at Princeton on Monday evening, before the home opener the following day (Tuesday, August 29th) against the Winston Lady Redbirds.
