The Mercer Lady Cardinal softball team had to wait until post-Labor Day to begin the season, but started the 2018 campaign with a 7-5 win at Winston, jump-starting a busy stretch of games for Coach Melissa Hill, including a Monday night visit from in-county rival Princeton.
