The #4 seed Meadville Lady Eagles claimed a 43-27 victory over Brunswick on Wednesday afternoon, moving into the consolation final at the Northwestern Invitational Tournament in Mendon.
Meadville, on Friday night at 5:30, will take on the Lady Bulldogs of Bucklin-Macon County, after BMC downed Keytesville 46-33. There are no seventh-place games in the event at Northwestern High School.
In boys consolation semifinal action, Brunswick took a 60-49 win over Bucklin-Macon County, while Keytesville took down Hale 65-58. Brunswick and Keytesville will play on Friday night at 7 o’clock in the boys consolation final.
The girls third place game is set for Friday night at 8:30, with #5 seed Northwestern hosting #3 seed Linn County.
