The long-time border rivalry between the football programs at Louisiana State University and the University of Mississippi will be seen on CBS on Saturday, October 23rd, with the network choosing the game between the Tigers and Rebels in Oxford, Mississippi for the 2:30 kickoff. In choosing that game, CBS left the network’s second choice, Tennessee at Alabama, for a night-time kick on ESPN, with the action starting at 6 o’clock from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
Five Southeastern Conference teams, including the University of Missouri Tigers, will be off on October 23rd, with the University of Arkansas playing against in-state foe Arkansas-Pine Bluff on an 11 o’clock kick from Little Rock on the SEC Network.
Mississippi State at Vanderbilt play at 3 o’clock on the SEC Network, with South Carolina at Texas A&M on the SEC Network at 6:30 at night. In one of the more quiet Saturday’s in league play, Missouri will be joined by Kentucky, Georgia, Auburn, and Florida on the sidelines.
