The Lawson Lady Cardinals racked up 127 points with the Maryville Spoofhounds at 151 points to claim the team championships at the Joe Shy Relays at Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium.
Kirksville’s girls, with 109 1/2 points, finished in the runner-up position, with Maryville third at 100 points even. Chillicothe’s Lady Hornets were fourth place (85 points), with Penney High School sixth (70 1/2 points), Cameron eighth place (45), with Brookfield ninth (28), Trenton and Princeton in an 11th place tie (9 points), with Newtown-Harris 13th place (7 points).
The Chillicothe boys were second with 139 1/2 points, with Lawson third at 88 points. Newtown-Harris was fifth place with 65 points. Penney was 8th (38), Cameron 9th (35 1/2), Princeton 10th (24), Brookfield 11th (11), with Trenton 13th (6 points).
