The Lathrop Lady Mules won varsity and junior varsity volleyball matches at Trenton High School on Tuesday night, taking a three-set victory in varsity action 25-23, 25-13, 25-23, while winning the JV contest 25-20, 25-15.
Trenton’s varsity, with two weeks remaining in the regular season, continues to show slight improvements from match-to-match, as Coach Brad Ewald said his Lady Bulldogs “dug the ball a lot more, showing a developing defensive game, and the ability to read plays better”. Ewald added that “if we improve our serve/receive game, we can be really strong”.
Ava Simpson had 15 assists for THS in Tuesday night’s defeat, with Ally Yoder and Kenzy Dolan both adding four kills, with Yoder contributing six kills, and Zoie McGowan nine digs.
