The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates rode the wave of a strong inside-outside duo on Monday night, cruising to a 79-46 beatdown of Crowder College, as sophomore Kennadie Crowe scored 28 points with fellow sophomore Nora Ford adding 23.
The win improves the Lady Pirates to 16-4, good for the 17th position in the latest NJCAA Division Two women’s rankings, released on Monday afternoon.
Angel Wiggins had nine points for North Central. For Crowder, held under 15 points in all four quarters of action by a stifing NCMC defensive effort, Jaydee Duda had 19 points, making 3 of 7 attempts from beyond the three-point line.
The Lady Pirates and Pirates host a doubleheader on Thursday night against Southeast (NE) Community College, with the men playing first at 5 o’clock, followed by the women’s contest at 7, with both games to be broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7.
