The Trenton Lady Bulldogs, led by a third-place score of 11 over-par 49 from Werthen Gass, shot a team score of 229 on Wednesday afternoon, finishing ahead of Lawson, but behind Richmond and champion Harrisonville in a four-team golf meet at Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond.
Gass’ 49 was two strokes behind second-place Ava Wirsig of Richmond, and three strokes behind the medalist total of 46 turned in by Harrisonville’s Jillyan Talmage. Fourth place was 50 from Lanie Carl of Harrisonville, with a pair of 56’s by Lawson’s Kassidy Findley and Hannah Hurst tying for 5th place. Lawson’s team score of 235 was six strokes behind Trenton.
Trenton’s Maci Henson shot a 21-over par score of 59 at Shirkey, with Oakley Madden shooting 60 and Grace Holcomb 61 for THS, now preparing for post-season district competition next week, starting Monday.
