The Trenton Lady Bulldogs lost a three-set duel against the Lions of St. Joseph Christian on Monday night, 19-25, 25-20, 12-25, leaving Trenton with just one match left in its regular season. Tonight (Tuesday night), the Lady Bulldogs travel to Savannah for matches against the Midland Empire Conference’s Lady Savages.
Trenton High School will participate in the Class 2, District 15 volleyball tournament next week at Lexington High School. The Lady Bulldogs, awarded a #4 seed in the seven team tournament, will open the district event with a first-round match against Carrollton at 5 PM on Monday, October 22nd. Trenton, this season, has a head-to-head win, and a draw in the Carrollton Tournament, against the Lady Trojans. The first-round winner will play top-seeded St. Paul Lutheran in the semifinals on Wednesday, October 24th at 5 PM.
On the bottom half of the district bracket, #2 seed Higginsville plays Brookfield at 6 PM on Monday, October 22nd, followed by #3 seed Lexington hosting Penney at 7 PM. The winners of those two matches play in a semifinal contest on Wednesday, October 24th at 6 PM. The semifinal winners play for the district championship at 7 PM on Wednesday, October 24th, also at the Lexington High School gymnasium.
