The Trenton Lady Bulldogs opened a busy week of volleyball action with a Monday night triumph over the visiting Penney Lady Hornets, claiming a 25-8, 25-7, 25-15 victory at the THS gymnasium.
Ava Simpson led the Trenton attack with 11 aces and 13 assists, with Juliet Schmadeke adding six kills, Allison Yoder seven aces, and Lilly Berti five kills.
The Trenton JV won in straight sets 25-14, 25-15, with the Trenton C team claiming a 25-21 win over the Lady Hornets.
Trenton coach Brad Ewald the night a “good one” for Trenton, saying that strong serving and sound defense propelled the Bulldogs to the win.
