Chillicothe High School hosted its annual golf invitational on Thursday at the Green Hills Course, with the Kirksville Lady Tigers shooting a team score of 356 for the top mark of the day, while Abby Davis of the champion Lady Tigers earned medalist honors with an 18-hole score of 7-over par 79. Other sub-100 scores on the day were Tess Sheerman of Marceline at 82, Maya Mckiver of Kirksville at 86, Jaida Cox of Benton at 88, Skyler Powers of Chillicothe at 90, Cailyn Auffert of Maryville at 92, Kennedy Roach of Cameron and Delaney Maag of Kirksville at 94, Hailee Williams of Cameron at 96, Anna Jenkins of Kirksville at 97, Morgan Lunford of Kirksville and Abbie Koenen of Putnam County at 98, and Lydia Peterson of Cameron at 99.
Trenton shot a team score of 520, with Josie Chumbley shooting 121, Reece Weldon 128, Mari Atup 131, Sofia Currie 140, and Morgan Brown at 152. Chillicothe shot a 428 on its home course, with Powers shooting 90, Clara Leamer 110, Izzie Montgomery and Abbey Hayen both 114, and Essie Hicks 126.
Team-wise, Kirksville’s winning score of 356 was trailed by runner-up Cameron’s 397, and third place Maryville at 420.
