The Kansas State Wildcats have gone into Webb City, Missouri to get a recruiting pledge from Devrin Weathers for 2021. It marks the 10th consecutive year, dating to 2011, that KSU has successfully recruited a player from the state of Missouri.
Last season, earning Class 4 Second-Team All-State honors, Weathers rushed for nearly 1,400 yards in helping Webb City win its seventh state championship within the last 10 years. While his collegiate position remained somewhat uncertain, early indications from Weathers and KSU indicate cornerback or safety for the Wildcat program.
The connection of Weathers and Kansas State happened quickly, with an offer extended in early June, then accepted via Weather’s twitter account late last week, with the message of “Last but not least I want to thank the KSTATE Coaching staff for taking their time to recruit me. I’m all in!! #EMAW #POUNDTHESTONE”.
