TRENTON, Mo. (NCMCPirates.com) – The NCMC Men’s Golf program has received commitment from Job van Nieuwkerk, a strong player from the Netherlands. The talented, young player will join Coach Craig Sager’s program in the fall of 2019. Currently playing off of a 4.4 handicap index, van Nieuwkerk is bound to be a great fit in the Pirate’s system.
“I’m thrilled to get Job into the States and watch him grow. He doesn’t have a lot of tournament experience in his young career, which is exciting. We know that he’s talented and he’s able hit the ball a long way, which you have to do at this level. As with most of our European players there’s a sharp learning curve on how to play our style of golf courses. Once he builds a solid game plan, I think he’s going to be a very impressive player. He’s another great example of a multi-sport athlete choosing golf and competing at a very high level,” commented Sager.
van Nieuwkerk currently plays out of the Old Course Loenen and Golfclub De Haar, both in the Netherlands. Academically, Job will work towards his AA-Transfer Degree and focus his studies on economics and business.
