The Chillicothe Hornets defeated the Maryville Spoofhounds on Saturday afternoon at Cameron High School, 62-50, winning the Cameron Tournament title for the first time since 2007. In other boys results, the Smithville Warriors won third place over Lawson 60-47, while on Friday night, the Higginsville Huskers took the consolation final over Cameron 63-57.
In the girls final, Smithville edged Maryville by a score of 54-51. Chillicothe’s Lady Hornets edged Cameron for third place 52-50, while Lawson downed Higginsville for fifth place 43-39.
