The Trenton Bulldogs, as a final tune-up for Saturday’s district track and meet meet at Richmond, traveled to St. Joseph’s “South Side” on Tuesday afternoon, joining seven other schools in the annual Benton Cardinal Relays. The Trenton girls racked up 126 1/2 points to edge Lawson for the team championship, as the Lady Cards totaled 125 points. Chillicothe was third (82 points).
On the boy’s side, Chillicothe had a dominant team performance, with the only triple digit total of the day, as 154 points won the meet. Maryville was second with 98 points, while Cameron had 77 for third place. The Trenton Bulldogs, with 72 1/2 points, were fourth, followed by Lawson, Savannah, Benton, and Lafayette.
