The Ketcham Community Center at North Central Missouri College will have its court remained closed through Tuesday, August 1st as a face lift continues to the facility. However, a new floor with the updated NCMC athletics logo has been unveiled via social media and NCMCPirates.com.
While the floor itself remains closed to the public, other areas of the center are open, with summer hours in place through Sunday, August 13th. Those hours are 5 AM – 7 PM on Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 2 PM on Saturday, with the facility closed on Sundays.
The pieces of the old court at North Central Missouri College will be saved, with pricing questions and availability queries directed to Athletics Director Nate Gamet at the KCC.
“The new surface is long overdue, and the color scheme and design will be very unique to us. I am in a lot of college gyms, and the KCC is one of the best around. This is the final touch to a six year transformation project the gym has been under. I can’t wait to see it when it all comes together,” commented Gamet.
North Central Missouri College basketball, featuring a pair of programs with multiple appearances in the national tournament, runs from early November through potential district championship games in early March. The Ketcham Community Center also hosts High School Holiday Hoops and has hosted numerous MSHSAA playoff basketball games over the past 25 years. Trenton High School graduations and various community events and meetings have also taken place at the center.
