The Trenton Lady Bulldogs four-point defeat against Stanberry (February 10th) gave THS its third-loss of the season, and dropped the team to the fifth-position in the latest Missouri Basketball Coaches Association poll, released late Thursday morning. The drop represents a one-position slip for Trenton, a team yet to lose to a Class 3 opponent this season.
The Mercer girls and Winston boys continue to lead the way in Class 1, with the HDC regular season and tournament champions ranked #1. Stanberry’s victory at Trenton on February 10th moves the Bulldogs up two spots in the Class 2 boys poll, to #8. Chillicothe remains #2 in Class 4, although that ranking came before Thursday night’s double overtime loss to Class 3, #3 ranked Boonville, giving the Lady Hornets their second setback of the season.
