On Tuesday, September 18th, the Lady Panthers of Grundy County High School picked up their biggest win of the season, rallying for a thrilling 10-9 win over HDC Conference rival Tri-County. Unfortunately for Grundy, the early end to the seasons at Mercer and Southwest Livingston, due to lack of numbers, left the Panthers unable to seize the momentum back onto the playing field.
This week, Grundy has four games in five nights, all road trips, with Novinger on Monday, Gilman City on Tuesday, Linn County on Thursday, and Green City on Friday.

For the Panther baseball team, led by Coach Ethan Bunnell, a 16-0 shutout win over Tri-County on Tuesday the 18th brought Grundy R-5 to the cusp of a three-game week, with road trips to Novinger (Monday), Linn County (Thursday), and Green City (Friday).
