While there will be games played at Gallatin High School in the 2020 Gallatin Invitational Basketball Tournament, those will only be games played by the Gallatin girls and boys, part of sweeping changes announced by the GHS athletic department earlier this week.
In order to keep teams, players, and fans as safe as possible during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, four games each will be played (two girls and two boys) from Monday, November 30th to Saturday, December 5th. Tip-times will be 6 o’clock for girls games and 7:30 for boys games. The eight schools in the tourney have been divided into two “pools” of four teams each, with the first-place finishers in each pool declared a co-champion of this year’s GIT. For games on Saturday, December 5th, girls games will start at 1 o’clock, followed by the boys at 2:30. Champions will be declared after the Saturday games are completed.
