The Gallatin Bulldogs, in a preseason poll of the seven football coaches of the Grand River Conference, are the choice of six of the coaches to repeat as champion for the third consecutive year, with GHS amassing 36 points. Gallatin is attempting to become the first team to win the GRC three straight years since the 2008-2011 Penney High (Hamilton) Hornets.
Coming of a successful first season under head coach Adam Huse, the Putnam County Midgets are in the second position with 25 points, edging out the Milan Wildcats 24 points. Milan received the only first-place vote not going to Gallatin.
The Trenton Bulldogs, with 21 points, are picked fourth, with Maysville fifth (18), Polo sixth (12), and South Harrison seventh (11).
