East St. Louis, Missouri native Tyler Macon, a quarterback commitment for the University of Missouri, will participate in the Elite 11 Finals, to be held Monday, June 29th through Wednesday, July 1st in Nashville, Tennessee.

Macon committed to Mizzou in March, passing over offers from Iowa, Iowa State, and Illinois, among other interested suitors.

In Elite 11, Macon will follow a path seen by other past MU signal callers, including Chase Daniel, Drew Lock, Chase Patton, and the MVP of the 2007 event, St. Louis native Blaine Gabbert.

In addition to Missouri, other SEC schools with quarterback recruits in the competition are Georgia, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, and Auburn.

The Elite 11 competition includes various skills used at the quarterback position, with drills, one-on-one instruction, in addition to classroom and off-the-field development.
