The North Central Missouri College women’s golf team got the fall sports season underway last weekend, finishing in 4th place in the 5-school Klocke Family Classic in Marion, Iowa.
The Lady Pirates top individual score came from freshman Emily Long, with a sixth-place 26-over par. Sara Golden and Taylor Hileman, both at 51 over, tied for 18th, with Kiersten Howell scoring 97 over for North Central.
The event, hosted by Mount Mercy University at the Hunters Ridge Golf Course, saw Mount Mercy win the team title with a two-day, 36-hole total of 681. Viterbo was second at 729, followed by Waldorf’s 748. NCMC’s score of 801 did best the fifth-place total of 835 by Coe College.
Twenty-nine players from the five schools participated in the event.
