Ridgeway High School, representing East Harrison, will host a softball/baseball tournament throughout the day on Saturday, as Pattonsburg, East Harrison, Winston, Mercer, Tri-County, and Grundy R-5 play one another. The softball tournament will be a four-team bracket style event, with East Harrison, Grundy R-5, and Tri-County playing three baseball games with one another to decide a champion.
The softball tournament will start at 9 o’clock on Saturday morning, as #1 seed Pattonsburg, a former HDC school now in its first year in the Grand River Conference, takes on East Harrison. PHS is the #1 seed. The 10:30 semifinal matches up #2 seed Winston and #3 seed Mercer. The losers play in the third place game at 12 noon, with the winner moving to the championship game at 1:30.
The baseball contests will be played over the late afternoon hours in Ridgeway. East Harrison will host Grundy R-5 at 3 o’clock, followed by Grundy R-5 against Tri-County at 4:30, and East Harrison against Tri-County at 6 o’clock.
Admission prices for Saturday’s tournament will be $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
