The Denver Broncos have signed former Chiefs guard Yasir Durant to bolster their offensive line. Durant, who stands at 6-7 and weighs 330 pounds, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and has since made 19 appearances with previous stints in New Orleans, New England, and New Orleans.
Durant had a successful collegiate career, starting 33 out of 34 games at Missouri after beginning at Arizona Western. He has been evaluated as a right tackle but also offers versatility as a swing tackle or guard at the next level. While he may have some limitations in movement and run-blocking, his strength in pass protection, particularly his length and anchor strength, makes him an appealing prospect.
In Denver, with their starting tackles Garett Bolles and Mike McGlinchey and swingman Cameron Fleming already set, Durant is likely to compete for a backup guard role behind left guard Ben Powers and right guard Quinn Meinerz. Other contenders for the position include Kyle Fuller, Will Sherman, and Quinn Bailey.
