Drexel High School, coming off a 13-0 season, is ranked #1 in the media poll to open the 2022 Missouri 8-man football season, earning 7 of 8 first place votes and racking up 68 points.
North Andrew’s Cardinals, the preseason favorite in the Grand River Conference 8 man division, is ranked 2nd, with 57 points and the remaining first place vote. Platte Valley, the co-op made up of Jefferson High School and South Nodaway High School, is ranked 3rd with 53 points, followed by Archie in 4th place and Worth County in 5th position.
Ranked sixth is Bishop LeBlond, with the Golden Eagles traveling to Pattonsburg this Friday night to open the season against the Panthers. Stanberry is ranked 7th, with St. Paul Lutheran 8th, Lockwood 9th, and King City 10th.
Receiving votes are Braymer (11th), East Atchison (12th), Jasper (13), North Shelby (14), and South Holt (15).
