The Chillicothe Lady Hornets will head south, instead of west, for softball district play this week, as Marshall High School hosts the five-team Class 3, District 13 tournament.
The Boonville Lady Pirates have the #1 seed, while Chillicothe is seeded third, putting the Lady Hornets in a semifinal match with the Kirksville Lady Tigers on Wednesday afternoon at 5:45. Boonville will play either Marshall or Moberly at 7:30.
On Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock, #4 seed Marshall will take on #5 seed Moberly, with the winner advancing to play Boonville.
The Class 3, District 13 championship game will be played Thursday night at 6 o’clock.
