The Dallas Police Department is actively seeking Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice following his suspected involvement in a six-vehicle collision on Saturday evening, as reported by The Dallas Morning News.
According to the Dallas newspaper, a vehicle believed to be registered or leased to Rice was implicated in the crash, which occurred around 6:20 p.m. on an expressway in northeast Dallas.
Authorities confirmed to Kansas City affiliate KSHB 41 News that a Corvette and Lamborghini, reportedly traveling at high speeds in the far-left lane, lost control and collided with the center median wall, triggering a chain reaction involving four additional vehicles.
The drivers of the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene without providing identification or assessing potential injuries, according to police. The individuals behind the wheels of these vehicles remain unidentified.
KSHB 41 News indicated that four individuals sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Rice, a native of North Richland Hills, a Dallas suburb, attended Southern Methodist University in close proximity to Dallas, where he played college football as a wide receiver.
Selected by the Chiefs in the second round of last year’s draft, Rice emerged as the team’s primary wide receiver during the regular season.
