The Kansas City Chiefs and Missouri Western State University have reached agreement to keep Kansas City’s training camp at the St. Joseph NCAA Division Two school through 2024.
The Chiefs have trained at Missouri Western since 2010, with the exception of the COVID-19 affected summer of 2020. Previous to their time in St. Joseph, Kansas City had trained in River Falls, Wisconsin, before making the decision to choose warmer temperatures, but more access for the fervent fan base to travel to the July and early August event.
Having training camp just up Interstate 29 from Kansas City also allows players the flexibility to return home on off days, although many choose to remain in the dorms on campus.
