The Kansas City Chiefs have announced contract extensions with head coach Andy Reid, general manager Brett Veach, and team president Mark Donovan to contract extensions. Terms of the deals were not immediately disclosed by the team.
The NFL Network reported that Reid’s extension will keep him in Kansas City through 2029, making him the highest paid head coach in the NFL, with Veach’s deal “running through the end of the decade”.
Under Reid’s leadership, the Chiefs have won seven consecutive AFC Western Division championships, four AFC championships, and three Super Bowl titles, including back-to-back victories over the past two years. In 2024, the Chiefs will aim to become the first franchise to win three consecutive championships in the Super Bowl era.
With Donovan’s contract finalized, he will continue in his role of expanding the Chiefs’ global fanbase and influence.
