Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon has signed a two-year contract with the New Orleans Saints, continuing an offseason for KC that has seen multiple pieces both leave and enter the locker room of the defending AFC champions.
As first reported by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network on Monday morning, the Saints are in the process of finalizing with two year, $4.5 million contract with Kpassagnon, who entered unrestricted free agency this offseason.
The product of Villanova University in suburban Philadelphia entered the NFL with the 59th overall pick of the 2017 draft by the Chiefs, but struggled to find consistent footing in the defensive line rotation, amassing 75 combined tackles, seven sacks, and five pass break-ups in 61 career games. He started 15 games for the Chiefs in the 2020 season, with just 28 tackles and one sack.
