The host Brookfield Lady Bulldogs, led by a nine-hole score of 37 from medalist Maggie Bennett, took down Trenton by a score of 240 to 241 in a season-opening triangular with Marceline on Tuesday night at the Brookfield Country Club.
Trenton junior Reece Weldon shot 51 for the runner-up position. Other THS scores were 61 from Kinsley Otto, 64 for Abbye Johnson, 65 for Seanacie Ireland, and Ali Cox shot a 69.
Brookfield had 61 from Madilynn Lumsden with 61, and a trio of 66’s, with Riley Howell matching Meghan Edwards and Kierstyn Sutch.
Marceline’s final total of 257 included a top score of 61 from Sarah Wright, 63 for Ella Sportsman, 65 for Riley Rowe, 68 from Nora Vandeloecht, and 71 from Jersey Rowe.
For the Trenton JV, Kenze Hansen shot 73. Mary Keune shot 70 for the Brookfield JV.
The Trenton High School girls tennis team downed Carrollton on Tuesday night, traveling to the Lady Trojans home courts and winning by a score of 6-3.
