The Auburn University women’s basketball program is the latest in the Southeastern Conference to be struck by COVID-19 positive tests and ensuing close contact protocols, postponing Sunday afternoon’s scheduled game at Auburn Arena against the University of Missouri. The game was called off just hours before the planned 2 o’clock tipoff.
Missouri was hit itself by COVID-19 in December, causing a 17-day layoff for Robin Pingeton’s program. On Thursday, January 7th, Missouri’s game with Vanderbilt was postponed due to issues with the virus in the Commodores program.
The MU women are scheduled to travel to Oxford, Mississippi this Thursday night, for a matchup with the Ole Miss Rebels at 6 o’clock.
