Numerous student-athletes from Trenton, Princeton, and Milan High Schools were named recently to the All-Academic Team of the Grand River Conference, recognizing their work in the classroom while participating in a Grand River Conference sport in the 2017 fall season.
To be recognized Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner in the sport that they are recognized for, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5, and be recommended by their head coach.
From the Trenton High School girls golf team, named All-Academic GRC are Oakley Madden, Werthen Gass, and Grace Holcomb.
In the sport of girls fastpitch softball, named All-Academic team for the 2017 GRC champion Trenton Lady Bulldogs are McKayla Blackburn, Sarah Jordan, Sidney Lynch, Maci Moore, Kennedy Norton, Taylor Richman, Jayden Roeder, Ainsley Tolson, and Ashten Whitaker.
Trenton High School football players earning All-Academic honors are Carson Burchett, Dalton Burchett, Lathan Croy, Hunter Dugan, Mason Owen, Cole Schilling, Nick Shields, Matt Sibbit, Jerrick Stotts, Jadan Whitney, Chase Marsh, and Payden McCullough.
From Milan High School, Lady ‘Cats softball players named to the All-Academic GRC squad are seniors Shelby May, Maddie Schoonover, and Adrianne Weaver; junior Katie Banner and Lesly Martinez; and freshmen Fanny Marquina, Halie Weiseman, and Liz Lopez. From the Milan football team were junior Quinn Doak, sophomores Ryan Dabney, Alexis Roman, and Angel Osorio, and freshman Dominic Dabney.
Princeton High School supplied a list of boys and girls named All-Academic Grand River Conference in the fall 2017 season. For the Tigers, seniors on the list are Lauren Cox, Kasen Purdun, Kaycee Kile, Megan Hydorn, Clayton Sweeten, Jayci Lewis, and Vivian Allen. Juniors are Kylie Willett, Logan Dunkin, Logan Krohn, Sydney Weber, Payton Goodin, Trace Clingingsmith, and Cameron Jones. The sophomores are Tyler Richter, Juan Mejia, Mario Vargas, Lindsey Batson, Austin Kelly, Cailynn Stokely, Nicholas Grooms, Preston Thomas, and Itzel Andrango. Princeton freshman named All-Academic GRC are Casey Barnes, Owen Schreffler, Alison Allen, Kaydee Cunningham, Jaden Purdun, Brylee Williams, Alyvia Binkley, Justin Rhoades, Zeb Schwartzkopf, Emily Hanson, Riley Rhoades, Ben Berwanger, and Jasmine Allen.
