Missouri graduate transfer, linebacker Blaze Alldredge, has been named the the watch lists for the Butkus Award and the Nagurski Trophy. Defensive lineman Trajan Jeffcoat was also named to the Nagurski watch list. The Butkus Award is given to the country’s best linebacker and the Nagurski Award to the top defensive player at the end of each season.
Alldredge is joining Mizzou as a transfer from Rice University, where he was a two-time all-conference selection. The Tigers are hopeful that Alldredge will take the starting position given up by Nick Bolton, taken by the Chiefs in April’s NFL Draft.
Jeffcoat finished second in the Southeastern Conference in last season’s 10 game regular season schedule, amassing six sacks. He added 18 tackles, and the named to the 2021 All-SEC preseason second team earlier this month.
