The All-State teams for high school softball in Missouri have been announced, with first and second teams featuring several area standouts for Classes 1 through 3.
Starting in Class 2, Trenton High School junior catcher Kaylor Hodge was a second-team selection to the All-State team, joining players from New Bloomfield (Myah Briggs) and Neelyville (Anna Lack) at the catching position.
Two pitchers from the KCI Conference were second-team Class 2 selections, in West Platte junior Sophie Grier and Mid-Buchanan junior Kaylea Myers.
South Harrison sophomore Ambrey Hunter was a second-team All-State selection in the infield, along with Carrollton junior Emmy Lock and Mid-Buchanan senior Morgan Marshall.
Marceline senior Finley Watson (outfield) and Mid-Buchanan freshman Zuzu Kountz (flex) were other second-teamers.
Named to the Class 2 All-State 1st team were Carrollton senior pitcher Jenna Edwards, South Harrison sophomore infielder Bailey Barnett, Carrollton junior infielder Taylor Pierson, and North Platte senior outfielder Lindsay Ramsey.
In Class 1, seven area players were named to the All-State first team, led by a pair of players from the runner-up Gallatin Lady Bulldogs, in junior pitcher Brynn Bird and junior catcher Channing McBroom. Others include Stanberry catcher Brea Jenson, Platte Valley infielder Maleeah Bliley, Polo infielder Mya Heil, Pattonsburg outfielder Katelyn Jones, and Braymer at-large selection, senior Corinne Tuck.
Class 1 second-team picks include Braymer catcher Karsyn Kleeman, Pattonsburg catcher Shealyn Pliley, Gallatin infielder Tagen Eversole, Meadville infielder McKinlee Fletcher, Princeton infielder Addilyn Henke, Gallatin infielder Karydon Jones, and Albany outfielder Keylee Siddens.
Chillicothe sophomore pitcher Landry Marsh highlights the Class 3 first-team, with Lawson outfielder Kamryn Florea named to the first-team, along with Savannah outfielder Reagan Bauer. Lawson outfielder Madi Cross was a second-team Class 3 all-state selection.
