Sporting Kansas City put together one of its strongest performances of the season, rolling to a 4-1 victory over the Portland Timbers on Sunday night at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. William Agada led the Kansas City (7-15-5) attack with a pair of goals, one in the 31st minute, and one in the 75th minute.
Andreu Fontas scored in the 40th minute, and Erik Thommy in the 42nd minute for Sporting. Portland (7-8-12) scored in the 90th minute on a tally by Sebastian Blanco.
John Pulskamp had four saves for Sporting Kansas City, which ended a seven-game winless streak against their MLS Western Conference foe.
