The NCMC baseball team will be hosting their annual “Winter Warm-Up” on Saturday, February 4, 2017. The day will begin with a clinic for high school and other youth coaches. The clinic will be held in Cross Hall on the campus of North Central Missouri College. Clinic speakers include the Kansas City Royals’ Mike Arbuckle, Steve Bieser, current Head Coach of the University of Missouri, and baseball lifer and MLB scout Jerry Lafferty, among others. In addition to local coaches, current NCMC players will accompany signees from the 2017 recruiting class and sit in on clinic sessions plus tour the campus.
The evening’s dinner will begin at 6:00 pm. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 pm for visiting and an opportunity to purchase NCMC baseball apparel. Participants and guests are welcome to stay as long as they would like.
Winning raffle tickets from the baseball fundraising raffle will also be drawn at the dinner. Top raffle items include a 55” Smart TV, a jersey signed by Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. plus baseball cards autographed by HOF John Smoltz and Salvador Perez. The “Winter Warm-Up” is designed to reunite and honor all TJC/NCMC baseball alumni and celebrate with friends of the program. The event will feature keynote speaker Mike Arbuckle of the Kansas City Royals as well as MLB scout Jerry Lafferty. Prior to the keynote address, the 2017 Pirate team will be introduced, the coaching staff will give an outlook for the upcoming season, alumni will be recognized and newly signed recruits will be introduced. Friends and family of the NCMC baseball program are invited to attend.
Cost of the dinner is $25 per plate, please RSVP.
