NCMC signs Nodaway-Holt senior to softball program

TRENTON, Mo. (NCMCPirates.com) – North Central Missouri College Head Softball Coach Steve Richman has added another talented young lady to his fall 2017 recruiting class.  Macie Bohannon, a senior at Nodaway-Holt High School, signed her letter of intent to be a Lady Pirate next fall.

While her high school does not compete interscholastically in softball, Macie has been an outstanding competitive summer player for the Trojanettes and St. Joe Angels summer teams.  “She is a pitcher that pops the radar in the 60’s.  Not only does she have velocity but she can move the ball with multiple pitches.  She also has great speed on the base paths and is a very good place hitter,” commented Richman of her softball skills.

Macie excels off of the softball field as well.  As an overall athlete, she has been an All-Conference and All-District volleyball player for the past two years plus qualified for sectionals in track for the triple jump.  “She has been a scholar student since her freshman year, the FCA president, and a member of National Honor Society the past two years.  Her character, like many of the other players we have signed, is wonderful,” noted Richman.

“Macie will be a great addition to the NCMC softball family.  We are happy that she chose NCMC to further her academic and softball career.  She has the chance to have an instant impact on our team,” commented Richman.
